To act like family is to show someone unconditional love, showing them tough love and being around for them when they need someone. Whether it’s showing your affection for your family or someone that you are not truly related it takes a lot of energy to help them out. Family behaviors to me are things like getting together to celebrate each others birthday or simply juse get together and hang out. My normality of being with family means getting together for no reason because why do we ever need a reason to be with the people we love? We all have a strong bond and no matter the circumstances we may fight but we are always able to find good things to bond over.
I was speaking to my sister and her perception on our family and for her is that our family rituals is womthing that is shared amongst us all and we are creating memories that we are able to share with our future generations and show them that no matter the situation family is always around. We have rituals a a whole family but the rituals as my immediate family are get up and go on a spontaneous road trips even if it’s just for the weekend we have made it a normal things because we are creating new memories that we will pick up and create with our own family one day. We are able to show each other our support and we are better able to communicate with each other because we are able to do something fun and bond and be able to give each other advice and be calm with our conversations because we know that we are amongst each other.
I truly admire the role that my parents have always played in my life and the strength they show my siblings in the determination they have that shows us that we are alwasy capable of doing anything we put our minds too. They have thought me that for family you do all things necesary I am lucky to say that I have never needed. anything that couldnt be given to me by my parents. In return I have learned that how I have been provided I am more than capable of doing what I can to provide them with the only thing they had asked me to do which is graduate.
