Your end of term project will be to write a 4 page paper (800 word minimum) which covers how environmental issues and sustainability relate to your field. Regardless of what your field of study and profession is, there is definitely a connection to the environment and sustainability. In your paper, you will describe your career goals, briefly introduce the environmental aspects and how sustainability relates to your field, give some examples of sustainability initiatives and environmental actions related taken by companies or professionals in the field, and provide a conclusion describing how you could contribute to such actions now and in the future as a professional in your chosen field.
- INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS TASK
Please research your field of study (such as culinary arts, IT, cyber security, business administration, health sciences, nursing, hospitality management, etc), finding a minimum of 5 sources of information regarding how your chosen field or companies in the field are engaging in environmental action/stewardship, sustainability efforts, or how actions by such companies may benefit or potentially harm the environment.
Then, in a short submission, please list the 5 sources you found in full APA style format (such as including the organization/author, date, title of article or page, and “retrieved from” information). For each reference, please provide a 2 to 3 sentence description of what the reference is about (which will help guide you during the term in writing your final paper.

Elements of the required response may also be lacking. 40 points out of 50: The essay illustrates solid understanding of the relevant material by correctly addressing most of the relevant content; identifying and explaining most of the key concepts/ideas; using correct terminology; explaining the reasoning behind most of the key points/claims; and/or where necessary or useful, substantiating some points with accurate examples. The answer is complete. 50 points: The essay illustrates exemplary understanding of the relevant material by thoroughly and correctly addressing the relevant content; identifying and explaining all of the key concepts/ideas; using correct terminology explaining the reasoning behind key points/claims and substantiating, as necessary/useful, points with several accurate and illuminating examples. No aspects of the required answer are missing. Use of Sources (worth a maximum of 20% of the total points). Zero points: Student failed to include citations and/or references. Or the student failed to submit a final paper. 5 out 20 points: Sources are seldom cited to support statements and/or format of citations are not recognizable as APA 6th Edition format. There are major errors in the formation of the references and citations. And/or there is a major reliance on highly questionable. The Student fails to provide an adequate synthesis of research collected for the paper. 10 out 20 points: References to scholarly sources are occasionally given; many statements seem unsubstantiated. Frequent errors in APA 6th Edition format, leaving the reader confused about the source of the information. There are significant errors of the formation in the references and citations.
