Give Feedback to Toulmin Analysis
Description
Give feedback to toulmin analysis.
For your response, create a substantive reaction to a peer’s post that engages what they have posted. What insight did they notice about the nuanced similarities and differences there are among and between the two models of argument (Toulmin Argument and Classical Argument)? You are required to have a minimum of 50 words.
Toulmin analysis #1:
Claim-. my claim was that liquids vaping can be beneficial in ways we didnt know.
Grounds- I started my grounds in my classical argument by explaining how the use of liquid vaping is harmful to the our bodys. but went on to show how it can also help us I had three main claims for my classical argument. My first claim liquid vaping is safer than other types of regular cigarettes. My second claim, Is that liquid vaping has no smell and can be smoked indoor and outdoor . My third claim is how it is beneficial to our bodys as well as it not being the healthy way.
Warrant- To back up these sources, I explained in my first claim how dangerous other types of cigarettes are compared to liquid vaping . To back up my second claim, I explained that liquid vaping sent is less then regular cigarettes. My last source stated how liquid vaping can be beneficial to our bodys by releasing a relaxing feeling that makes it less stressful on a person but in the same source I stated how it is not the healthy way of releasing stress as there are healthier ways
Backing- The argument about healthy vs. not healthy is what I believe is the backing part of my argument. It explains how the healthy way and not healthy way are competing.as we know there good things that come from it and many bad we still dont know how much bad does as studys keep happening
Qualifier- In my argument, I had a few sentences that limited the strength of my argument, which were. As studys keep on happing we are finding out that the new wave of liquid vaping is taking over the world.
Rebuttal- My counterclaim or rebuttal for my classical argument was the thought that all this time we could have invited a new way of smoking which can be harmless.as which now we are unsure of liquid vaping vs regular cigarettes.
Toulmin Analysis #2:
Backing – I have some backing that is supporting some of my warrants, without really proving the main point. Although there are a few that do not really support the warrant they tend to support the main point more. While doing the toulmin essay I will try to improve proving evidence specifically to back up my warrant. But yes I do provide some backing.
Warrant – In my classical essay I did provide warrants many times.
Grounds – In my classical argument I provide several facts for all my claims that I stated even the rebuttal. I think in my toulmin essay I could find better evidence to prove my point to the fullest potential.
Qualifier – I don’t think I provided a qualifier in my classical argument but the toulmin essay has some different criteria compared to the classical essay.
Claim – my claim that I used in my classical argument essay was Global warming is a real issue that is occurring today. I believe I could use the same claim for my toulmin essay.
Rebuttal – Now for the rebuttal that I used for my classical argumentative essay was Global warming is fake, it is nothing but phony science the government made up to hide something from the public’s eye. In my opinion, I think I should change it but I don’t know what too.
