Determine up to ten mine features that require reclamation (a few features are listed for reference). Begin filling in the remaining elements of the table once the features have been recognized. When approaching the table, ask yourself the following questions:
What about these characteristics necessitates reclamation to achieve a reclamation goal (i.e. stability)?
What is it about these characteristics that makes them so tough to reclaim?
What effect does water have on these structures?
Identify reclamation practices (such as regrading) and methods (such as the equipment employed) for the mine characteristics identified in the videos and reference material. Take a look at the reclamation manuals in the pages below, as well as additional online resources. Make sure you have at least 10 mining features specified, with at least one reclamation practice and method for each feature.
