Big data is everywhere, and it drives a variety of enterprises all around the world. While some businesses use big data to make decisions, this does not indicate that the implications and applications of big data are correctly utilized to ensure the organization’s maximum effectiveness.

In this scenario, you’ve been hired as a business analyst for Big D Incorporated, and your job description includes making authoritative recommendations to the Board of Directors. The recommendations you make as a business analyst will be based on data calculated using statistically appropriate formulas. Remind yourself that you are not yet the company’s statistician. As a business analyst, though, you are in charge of assessing statistical data and providing relevant recommendations.

Big D Incorporated has been presented with a number of business chances, and it is your role as the business analyst to provide expert advice and support for these prospective opportunities.

Specifications of the project

Big D Incorporated has a commercial opportunity to give a new client with two types of information. You’ve been tasked with determining the financial viability of this prospect as a business analyst. The new client is a store who wants to broaden its product line. Big D Incorporated, on the other hand, has been asked by the customer to aid in the decision-making process.

Make a presentation that covers the following topics:

The difference between nominal and ordinal data should be explained.
Make a list of three qualitative characteristics of outdoor sporting items that the client might want to inquire about. Ensure that at least one of the qualitative qualities is nominal.
Assign names to the endpoints of a 5-point rating scale for each ordinal attribute.
The distinction between interval and ratio data should be explained.
List two quantitative outdoor sporting goods qualities that market analysts might want to track.
Explain the difference between a sample and a population.
