Having good insight into life events, cultivating and employing practical wisdom, and being kind and socially just are all examples of this.
3. Recognize: Whether clear or ambiguous, recognize ethical bifurcation (choice) points. Nurses may overlook both minor and large opportunities to help alleviate human suffering in various forms due to apathy or avoidance.
4. Make a commitment: Make a commitment to cultivate and practice intellectual and moral virtues. Knowing ethical norms, rules, responsibilities, and principles is useless without a nurse’s good character.
5. Respond: Use intellectual and moral virtues to respond to people and situations on a regular basis. Nurses have a say in how their characters evolve and what they do.
